HEROES OF IMPILTUR
This dwarven ranger is a former member of the Heroes of Impiltur and one of the founding members of the group. He was captured along with the other founding members at the Monastery of the Yellow Rose and subjected to Malrite’s ritual. Urlog is unsure if he lost his memories during the ritual or if he just drank too much dwarf spirits. Indeed, this old booze-hound was reputably able to detect the smell of alcohol within a hundred yards. Despite his uncouth manner and penchant for cutting off trophies from his slain enemies, Urlog was a fierce and loyal friend to the other members of the party. After the victory at the Starlight Citadel Urlog went on a three day drinking binge which ended tragically when his axe-juggling attempt in town-square resulted in the maiming of a small child. Deeply repentant after he sobered up, Urlog went to the Grand Council and begged them to give him the most difficult assignment that they had. The council agreed and sent him on a mission to spy on the Warlock Knights of Vaasa. Needing to make a connection with his contact right away, Urlog did not have a chance to tell his friends where he was going. They did run into him again though when he helped save them from the ambush of the traitor Akneth under Telos City. After they got back to Impiltur, Urlog parted ways with the group again in order to take on his next assignment from the Council – this time to train to become a demonslayer. Urlog used this training to help the party retrieve the Moaning Crown of Ndulu from Dun Tharos but declined to enter the Demontower with them saying that “his place was out on the streets killing demons”. During the civil war with the Fraternity of Tharos, Urlog single-handedly killed over one hundred demons before succumbing to his wounds. The patrons of the Last Stand tavern in New Sarshel still to this day hoist a toast “To Urlog” every evening at six o’clock.
